got a new light for my pool table and am just wondering if there is some presice height it should hang above the table. can anyone hook me up up with some info?

The most practical advice I have ever go on this is to install the bracket or hangers centered over the table, then adjust the height of the light so that just covers the entire top of the table.

For flourescant and other types of wide area lighting, I have seen recommendations that the fixture should be 30-35 inches above the table bed.

Unless supplied with the light itself, I doubt you can get any specific measurements because it would depend on the depth of the light in the fixture and the agle of the shade, etc.

probably the best practical advice i've seen is to slowly raise the light till it begins to cast a shadow under the cushion. then you get into stuff like how tall you are and if your head will crash the light.
