In glorious news dear leader Barack Hussein Obama has finally decided to remove the shackles of the US Constitution ... written by dead white racist, suicidal, genocidal, homicidal dance recital infidels ... and no longer work with congress.

Our beloved dear leader has decided to spread his wings and work as the thugocratic dictator we all knew was within him.

Soon we shall all joyously be re-employed in the beet and potato fields as the progress, which only dear leader can deliver, continues.

Remember the party mantra comrades:

WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
POVERTY IS PROSPERITY

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Comrades, today Comrade Jay "Carney" Carney issued a statement that Dear Leader will “continue” to act “independently” without congressional authorization to “benefit the American people” as part of the White House’s "We Can't Wait" campaign.

We here on The Cube™, of course, have for quite some time been fully aware of Dear Leader's prowess in all things leaderly, since He IS, after all, the One - but, unfortunately, the Evil Rethuglikkkans keep trying to dredge up that quaint little-remembered document laughingly referred to as their "Constitution" when claiming that Dear Leader has no "authority" to do many of the things He has - and WILL do!

Laughable. As though He cares what they think! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Carney, allegedly a little known carnival barker and member of the local SEIU chapter in South Dakota before being hired by the Obama administration, stated that “He is simply acting to help the American people, whether it’s with their mortgages, their student loans, their access to vital drugs, assisting businesses to speed up the process by which they get a, you know, contracts, with their payments from the federal government, or, like, you know, they need a half-billion dollar bailout loan to assist them in pursuing The Great Green American Dream™, well, red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight, you know."

Comrades, how equally fortunate we are to live in a time such as this, and to have Dear Leader watching out for us! </div></div>

LONG LIVE THE CUBE! (http://thepeoplescube.com/peoples-blog/we-can-t-wait-t7981.html)

As usual, delirious bizzaro crap.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said President Barack Obama will “continue” to act “independently” without congressional authorization to “benefit the American people” as part of the White House’s “We Can’t Wait” campaign.

“<u>He [Obama] fully understands that the kinds of things that are contained within the American Jobs Act require congressional action, require laws being passed, and that’s why he’s pressing for Congress to take action legislatively,</u>” Carney told reporters on Monday at the White House.

<span style='font-size: 14pt'>“But he can also act independently or, rather, administratively, and <u>exercise his executive authority to benefit the American people in other ways.</u> And he will continue to do that.”</span>

Carney dismissed House Speaker John Boehner’s disapproval of the president acting unilaterally. (RELATED: Boehner blasts Obama on economy: <u>Sidestepping Congress is ‘laughable’</u>)

“I was asked about this concern, which I would just suggest is misplaced, because <span style='font-size: 14pt'>the president is acting well within his authority, well within his constitutional authority,</span>” Carney said.

“He is simply acting to help the American people, whether it’s with their mortgages, their student loans, their access to vital drugs, assisting businesses to speed up the process by which they get a, you know, contracts, with their payments from the federal government. These are all measures he can take administratively, and he will continue to take them.”

Carney also said Boehner “could certainly assist in the effort by allowing the provisions of the American Jobs Act, for example, to be voted on by the House of Representatives.”

The GOP refuses to do ANYTHING that would help Americans because it might be conceived as a "win" for Obama and they don't want that.

If you're alleging these actions are against the Constitution, surely Heritage/Cato/Americans for Prosperity or some other Koch brothers' funded organization will mount a challenge to the SCOTUS to halt them.

Or not, as the use of executive orders is a well-established practice. I remember when Clinton couldn't get Congress to act in the Mexican debt crisis (to save Goldman Sachs Mexican bond holdings, of course!), so on his own discretion and authority, he... well, let Wiki tell it:

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> A change in the law, in 1970, allows the Secretary of the Treasury, with the approval of the President, to use money in the ESF to "deal in gold, foreign exchange, and other instruments of credit and securities."[5]

The U.S. government used the fund to provide $20 billion in currency swaps and loan guarantees to Mexico following the 1994 economic crisis in Mexico. This was somewhat controversial at the time, because President Clinton had tried and failed to pass the Mexican Stabilization Act through Congress. Use of the ESF circumvented the need for approval of the legislative branch. In response, Congress passed and President Clinton signed the Mexican Debt Disclosure Act of 1995, which implicitly accepted the use of the ESF, but required reports to Congress every six months on the status of the loans.[6] At the end of the crisis, the U.S. made a $500 million profit on the loans.[7]</div></div>

So, in that case, similar to the Lincoln suspension of habeas corpus, Congress meekly agreed and passed a law ex post facto.
