A few weeks ago lightning kut a manna gum in half behind the house. Bark woz blown 25 yards. 2 pix shown.

I think the same bolt forked and hit our biggest manna at the front of the house, bark blown 45 yards, but 80% of bark remains and tree might survive.

Years ago lightning hit a tree in the bush here. Tree woz kompletely blown to pieces -- just a big hole left in the ground -- amazing.

I don't think that it is amazing, it's quite harmful and such accidents will harm the lives.
