Add yourself to that list.

Did you, or did you not, [ that's a YES or NO answer ] cut and paste a quote from me [ out of context ] and pretended that it was my own view, <u>when you you KNEW for sure</u> I was quoting the trash talk on Obama coming from the RW?

Man up.

I quoted what you said.

By your own arguments in the past when the leftist slime machine has done the exact same thing, whether it was or wasn't "IN CONTEXT" has no relevance.

You have demanded this standard by your incessant defense of out of context liars such as "MEDIA MATTERS" and "MOVEON" and "CROOKS & LIARS" ... yet now all of a sudden you cry foul?

Why?

Truth has never carried weight with the cabal ... they cling to the lie like a drowning man clings to a reed.

Now ... with dozens of examples you claim to be wrong ... you have the perfect opportunity to shoot me down, but you don't even try.

Why is that?

We all know ... it is all true, but it is damning to your party masters so you will bury your head as far up your nether orifice as possible and wait for it to go away.

The funny thing about truth though, is that it will be waiting for you when you come up for air.

Facts. They are such stubborn things.

You are clearly wrong at a first glance with your claims about Media Matters and C&L. Out of context? They both provide transcripts and sound, if not video with sound, including a paragraph or paragraphs of context surrounding the quote in question.

I spent some time looking up 'Media Matters lies' or 'false' a couple of months back, to see if anyone had objected to anything they'd said over the years. You know, looking for the Media Research Council (Brent <s>Bozo</s> Bozell's outfit), or other right wing sources, making any claims of error.

Yes, there was one such complaint, from about 2005. Since then, not so much, and not at all.

All you'll find is the various right wing characters (like Bill O'Reilly) CLAIMING they are far left loons who cannot be trusted because they always lie for partisan reasons about the right. Yet somehow, no examples? Amazing, but the reason is clear. If they give the entire paragraph or more of the remarks in question, and provide the sound and/or video with sound for all that was said and its relevant surrounding context and remarks, it's hard to complain using factual evidence.

And, OTOH, the internet is chock full of outright lies by Fux Noise, pure propaganda, with faked video clips, and they refuse to own up to their gross lies.

I do not understand the purpose of your obsessive cutting and pasting of this source. (For one thing, why not quote the parts you think are most compelling in one post, and then link to the rest of it?)

Your list shows that among some tens of thousands of Democratic officials, you can list some dozens of them that had legal problems? Wow, congratulations! Although that should be obvious-- scratch the surface of any sizable group and you'd probably find 1 or 2% with legal or moral issues or scandals. This might be impressive to a naive person with no life experiences, but I assume you deny that about yourself.
So this is a meaningless list signifying about nothing of importance.

Look at the original title of the list: scandals involving LEADERS of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY.

Leaders? Hmmm, then why are most of these people no leaders of the Democratic Party whatsoever? People who once RAN for office (and failed), who had a scandal or criminal charge 10 years afterwards? Or whose scrapes with the law had nothing to do with their political office, having occurred at many years remove from serving (either before, or after)? Some leaders, those.

People many of whom I have never heard of, is how much leaders of the party they are/were.

As you say, it's an outdated list, but worse, why did it have to be padded with entirely obscure persons, some who were never even elected as Democrats (still less being leaders of the party), and some who apparently were never even convicted of ANYTHING (by this evidence, sometimes stated as 'was indicted' or 'was charged' without any followup statement of conviction or sentencing).

This is indeed a very poor list, that mainly proves that there is no long list of Democratic Party LEADERS who got into trouble. I can make a far longer list of the members of one presidential administration that were convicted of felonies for official actions taken in office and who all served prison time, from either the Reagan or Nixon White House. Similarly for the GOP's elected officials only during the George W. terms.

Lastly, and most shamefully, I can make a far longer list of only GOP office holder pedophiles than this list. I've seen such a list that went to 4 pages, single spaced.

So what you show that is true doesn't matter much. What you claim about it that is false makes it irrelevant. Nicely done!

BTW, how could one leave off Adam Clayton Powell or Edwin W. Edwards from this list? All-timers, there!

Similar how, in reverse, you should absolutely take George Crockett, Jr. off the list. You'd have to show that his jailing for contempt for representing unpopular defendants was merited, instead of being a grave judicial abuse of process. Or to show the kind of principled actions caused this arrest on the say-so of one judge, also mention he was arrested and jailed (this time AS A MEMBER OF CONGRESS) protesting apartheid.

So don't say I've never helped you. I've now explained how to make your list more persuasive to non-knuckle-dragging readers-- ditch all the people who evidently never were convicted of anything, ditch all the obscure people who never were office holders for any length of time, stick to the facts better, and put some of the actual biggest Democratic Party scandal figures on this list. No brainer. You're welcome.
