Hi Tony, got your message. Things are booming here man. Halifax just won a 25 Billion dollar ship building contract to replace our ageing frigates and coastal patrol vessels. Lots of spin off benefits. Happy days are here again! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif St.

Nice. Are you still working or retired? That is a huge contract and should be good for the area.

Ed it's huge! Thousands of new jobs GOOD jobs. Not only at the ship yard but with an estamated 700 new houseing starts per year the construction and road work company's are ramping up, Sevice Industries are growing, just about every sector is cashing in. This deal will provide the economy here to stablize and grow over the next 25 years and those getting in now on the ground floor will be set for life.

I'm due to retire in a few more years. Saddly, pops passed away this year leaving us with his place down in Leesburg. We only need to rent it for one month a year and it pays for itself so the Wife and i will be down a lot more often in the winter. Rackem up! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif St. (planning for 3 weeks in Feb. this year)

Sounds like a great contract. It is nice to see growth somewhere. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Wish we had more of those here in the US.

One month a year rental, the only downside is dealing with renters. They never seem to care about anything since it is not their name on the dotted line. However, hopefully we can get together for some pool while you are here. I haven't played in a while but always ready for a game. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

I am sorry to hear about your loss, I am sure that was tough. One month a year rental, the only downside is dealing with renters. Yes, that whole area, Newfoundland, etc., is going great guns, on energy plays offshore, etc.

Note: anyone who wants to ride the next bubble from ground level for the next 10 years, head on up there now.

Ok, you missed ground floor, but only by a year or two. Still a lot of ride for this one!
