sorry about the omisions, its 8-ball with B.O.A. rules. B.O.A. rules are a blend of APA and BCA, very easy for anyone that is familiar with either set of rules to adapt to.

I had some guys interested in coming out, but then I called Lynn and she said that play starts Friday night. No one wanted to take Friday off work to drive out from Dallas.

Why, with a field limited to only 8, would a tournament need to span over 3 days? Is it a round-robin with races to 20?

Thanks for the interest Spiderman. The format is something new, at least as far as we know. It is indeed round robin within team vs team play with the race to 14. This is the first such tournament that we have run and are actually using it to test the format and indeed the time. The one scenario we wanted to avoid was running out of time or making player shoot all day long without any control over when they would play again. We probable will be able to do this comfortably in two days in the future, even with 16 teams, but we are not absolutely sure of it until we get one under our belts, thus the purpose of this particular tournament. We hope to put together a 16 team tournament with this format in about 4 months with $1000 added and local television coverage. With this as our goal we chose to test the waters on a smaller scale first, get our timing down, and making sure everything runs smoothly. Once again thanks for the interest you expressed
