Asked Sunday if he follows racing Romney replied, "Not as closely as some of the most ardent fans, <span style='font-size: 20pt'>but I have some friends who are NASCAR team owners,"</span> the AP reports.

Yeah, good thing Warren Buffett never says he is "for the people". How about that John Kerry dude, he sure instills warmth in all those yugo owners.

This thread shows us just how much of a douche you really are.

John Kerry lost, for among other reasons, the impression that he was an effete elitist, given the very large financial marriage he made into the Heinz fortune. That example may have a repeat this time, as Romney cannot have portrayed himself in that light himself more thoroughly. Yes, it will likely be a problem for him, especially coming on top of all manner of similar gaffes (wife drives... a COUPLE of Cadillacs, actually). Well, sure, whose wife doesn't have multiple Cadillacs? Explaining it's because he has so many houses doesn't really help him, because that's more of the same.

McCain had a little of the same problem, marrying into that Mafia-connected alcohol monopoly, and being unable to say how many houses he had. And McCain had long been a darling of the press, moderating their hyena-like howling. Romney enjoys no such buffer.

And Cadillac sold around 150,000 cars in the USA last year? And your point is what exactly?

BTW ... what Obama drive?

What's that?

A top of the line Chrysler ... a Cadillac competitor ... 300C with a gas guzzling 5.7 liter V8.

And what did he and Moochelle have for a mom car?

What's that?

A 5.7 liter V8 GMC Envoy, that in popular configurations cost more than a Cadillac CTS.

Bush had plenty of money and that was never a problem.

I wish you guys would quit looking for trivial crap to blame the reasons of why you lose. If Romney loses the election it won't have anything to do with the fact that his wife is driving in a different Cadillac. Bringing up stories like this are merely a show of jealousy and considering if was qtip that started it, well...enough said.

If Obama had made some attack on this, you'd have a talking point out of these observations. He hasn't, and there is no hypocrisy in silence. Nor is the attack about fuel efficiency. 'The Beast' not only probably cost $1 million dollars, but more, at its ridiculous weight, it probably gets the worst mileage this side of a combine tractor.

The issue is how his own party GOP voters who are not rich react, in these primaries, and in the general, assuming he is the nominee, how it plays with the voters from both sides who are not rich.

It goes to the 'out of touch' meme, which doubles down the callous or cruel charge with regard to liking to fire people.

Only time will tell if the voters are turned off in sufficient numbers to damage his candidacy, and whether they join in the general media reaction. They may not, or they might.

In the meantime, it's Romney stepping on his message, and stepping into it, as Rick Perry said his wife called what he had done in an earlier case.

Kerry 'lost' because they flipped about 5 million votes, and then finally, fixed the Ohio vote in the closed door only lockdown in Warren.

You may not have heard of this last point. The normal 'both parties' observers and the watching media that normally oversaw the vote as it happened, were thrown out of the counting place, based on the statement that there was a 10 out of a 1 to 10 scale of legitimate threat, supposedly reported to the officials from the FBI. Problem: there was no such threat at any level reported from the FBI, according to them. The count that came out was not observed by any of the normal parties that are always there.

I do agree that the Cadillac or NASCAR team owner flaps will not individually determine Romney's electoral fate. However, as put all together as a group effect, the 'out of touch' side of being too ostentatiously wealthy may be a meme that does hurt him, and even a couple of points difference in the voting might doom his bid in the general.

</div></div>LOL, you are something else. But then again, you just proved qtip to be the idiot he strives to be. Poor qtip still whines about the swiftboat truthers and here you are blaming it all on vote fixing in Ohio. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif You two really should compare notes.
