Time magazine’s Mark Halperin labeled the Romney campaign’s relationship with the media “toxic,” and few scribes covering either campaign say they feel the love. Or even the like. [...]

Add the fact that Romney has proved to be gaffe-prone, especially when he speaks off the cuff. Over the past few weeks, the Romney traveling press has been locked in a quiet skirmish with the candidate’s Boston brain trust over ambushing Romney when he greets supporters after events.

At first, campaign officials tried to bar reporters. When that didn’t do the trick, Romney himself told scribes, “Not on the rope line!”

By the way, they have to expect gaffes and contradictory remarks when his whole campaign is built around a strategy of saying the opposite thing the Democrats are saying — oftentimes contradicting his own previous remarks. They’re not even really gaffes, they’re a byproduct of a cynical campaign.</div></div>

Here is a prime example of why he doesn't wamt the media around.

Dumb as a rock! He's Palin in pants.

It's only going to take one debate to bury this numbskull.

He's far more glib and conversant with standard English speaking than the former half-term governor of Alaska.

Meaning even the same level of bs and non-sequitur nonsense, should he deliver that, will be far more plausible to the low information American people.

You might say that he is far more glib, but he hasn't been in a situation where he had to match wits with a brilliant man, and without having control of the venue.

I think his foot in mouth disease is just as bad as Sara's was annd is.

He contradicts himself twice, and all in the same sentence!

Look how he is running from the media! He can't run forever. Sooner or later he's going to have to show up and debate, and answer some questions, and he's going to show his ass.

I also think she was too dumb to realize how dumb she was, where he has just enough sense to look and sound as uncomfortable as he should be, while he's trying to get around himself. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

He's very ignorant about foriegn policy, very!

IMO, he is the personafication of The Peter Principle. He finally has a shot at the presidency, thanks to the Supreme Court Fascists, but I think The Peter Principle will be fully engaged in the Mitt side of the debates. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif
