When you have a corrupt org and you need to BS people, who do you go to?
Another corrupt BS org of course!

Considering the problems they have.........

Pope Benedict XVI is seen as an intellectual with little interest or skill in governing, and his deputies have been mired in infighting.

The Vatican must deal with a growing investigation that has led to the arrest of the popeís butler in connection with the leaking of private documents, a case that could reach into higher levels of the hierarchy. On Saturday, Pope Benedict called a meeting of the high-ranking cardinals who are investigating the case.

At the same time, the Vaticanís secretive bank remains embroiled in controversy over whether it can meet international transparency standards. And on Friday in Philadelphia, a former aide to a cardinal became the first senior official of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States to be convicted of covering up sexual abuse by priests under his supervision in a vast scandal that has cost the church untold credibility and more than $1 billion in legal settlements. </div></div>

A scandal ridden Vatican reaches out to an American news network that is owned by a man who was knighted by the Pope for his financial contributions. This network provides the papacy with total support for their opposition to a Democratic American president's policy on contraceptive equality. An American cardinal publicly derides the Democratic president on this news network which is a mouthpiece for the reactionary, religious right. This network employs, as its only official clergy *religious contributor, a Catholic priest who had been a member of a secretive and scandal ridden order and who uses his network pulpit to promote Catholic dogma and reactionary, right wing politics. The network also employs, as a legal analyst, a Catholic "Knight of Malta." In order to improve its image, tarnished by pedophile priests and reports of corruption at its core, the Vatican hires a reporter, who is also a member of a Catholic cult, from this network. While this seeming quid-pro-quo sounds like a plot in a Dan Brown novel, it's not fiction. The Vatican just hired Fox News' Rome correspondent to "help its communication strategy." Material for a Da Vinci Code sequel </div></div>

Its a scam.

Its always been a scam.

I'm kinda surprised that it has take the Vatican so long to make a move like this... i wonder if the pope will absolve him of all his sins, or is it the other way around?

Good question.

Heard of this? Just another example of the Vatican's compassion.

Yeah, but no concern for the life of the child who was raped. She isn't innocent?

This is misogyny at its worst!

Nine years old! A baby herself.

I do not understand how any reasonable person could support such a corrupted, heartless organization!

What is best for a living, breathing human being, is the ultimate best course of action, always, IMO.
