Hi Brady,

Congratulations to you and your dad for what seems to be a very successful tournament. I am definetely aiming to make it over next year.

I saw mention that the PPV was also being sold to other networks, Asia and even Thailand was mentioned. Do you have any details on this?

We only get the World Championship once a year, the occasional WPBA match on Asian ESPN and re-runs of last years Mosconi cup. A chance to see the Open would be great.

ST. LOUIS, MO (September 13, 2002) - Billiard Club network is pleased to announce an agreement with IEC in Sports for the international television distribution of the 2002 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championships to takes place in Chesapeake, Virginia, September 23-29, 2002.

The television production will include 15 one-hour highlight shows of select preliminary round matches and a three-hour show from the championship match. BCn will produce the shows in association with Accu-Stats Video Production. The championship match will be broadcast live on pay-per-view in the U.S. available through DISH Network, iN DEMAND pay-per-view and ExpressVu in Canada. Check satellite and cable providers for pay-per-view availability.

"IEC in Sports is excited about the addition of billiards to its already popular line up of sports and we are looking forward to the success of the 27th Annual U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship event," says Jonas Persson, CEO, IEC in Sports.

"We have very good international representation with IEC. They have clients on all continents which gives us the opportunity to expose the great value of American pool," said Rob Sykora, President, BCn. "The Asian marketplace has expressed great interest in the event and we expect to have distribution in Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong."

The IEC program list for upcoming events consists of more than 150 titles and the total volume represents some 2000 hours of unique sports programming per year.
