View Full Version : Translating pool books into other languages

Howdy Folks,

I want to translate three of my books into other languages. These will be abridged versions of these books (plus a one paragraph description):
- Cue Ball Control Cheat Sheets (150 words)
- Advanced Cue Ball Control Testing Program (50 words)
- Drills & Exercises (600 words)

Please forward this to anyone you might think would be interested.

I tried to use Google Translate (http://translate.google.com) for an initial pass and placed the results into place. That tool, as cool as it is, for getting the idea across; does work when trying to get the right word for cue ball, object ball, cue, draw, stun, follow, etc. The translation tool doesn't have a sub-dictionary for pool and billiards terms.

The number of languages prevents any type of commercial recompense.
I can offer your name listed as "Translated by (name)" on the book cover, plus your pool biography on the inside page of the book. (It can provide some near-immortality since ebooks never go out of print.) I’ll also give you copies of my pool books (8 books).

If you would like to discuss an arrangement, contact me directly at: billiardgods@gmail.com

Here is the 41 languages I would like to translate to: (If your language is not listed, I'll create a translation).

That's fantastic idea of translating pool eBooks into other languages. Take help from professionals while translating, otherwise the message may not be rightly conveyed.
