Which of the earlier Gold Crowns has chrome pocket casings(1,2or 3)? What is the difference between the earlier models in terms of counters on the rails, leg levelers, rails bolted through the slate and dowelled slate? Thanks, Terry

I have a GC1. The slate is doweled, no leg levelers, the rails bolt through the slate (I think all of them do), the counters are bigger than the GC3's and the pocket castings are solid aluminum. An interesting thing about the corner castings is that a different hand written date is on the bottom side of each casting. It's not carved or stamped and the date is in the 60's. I have 2 sets and they are all like that. Also, the GC1's have a plastic skirt liner that screws to the apron and slopes under to hide the plastic pockets. I think most people toss those. And, from what I understand, the GC1's came in 3 colors; off white, baby blue and tangerine with the current looking rails.
