I was almost aborted, not because of a rape, but because of timing that seemed inconvenient to my father. My mother said no. I have a twin sister. Both of us would not exist had this occurred, nor her 4 children and her grandchildren.

I have never considered any of that a reason to change my opinion on abortion, although it could not be a more personal angle on this subject.

If souls pre-exist before the person, I think any 'scheduled' time to be born would just simply go to 'next!'

It was, at a tender age.

I'm thinking had my parents not divorced, my mother would not have told us this.

In my more philosophical dotage now, it rolls right off me.
