Should we be shocked that a government would do that to it's people?

There is not much pool here.
Efren is getting jipped b/c he refuses to grease officials.
Absolutely shameless.

> Efren probably feels he same way Steve Prefontaine felt when told by the now defunct AAU that he couldn't organize his own track and field event to avenge the only loss he ever took in public, because the AAU couldn't make a dime off it. He eventually did,and Lasse Verin didn't even bother to show up. Efren and Francisco are getting robbed, pure and simple, just like Pre did. Tommy D.

I'm beginning to think Reyes is avoiding me. /ccboard/images/icons/smile.gif He was suppose to be at the Capital City Classic last January and canceled out. Now the U.S. Open. I see a patern here. /ccboard/images/icons/smile.gif

Seriously, It is obvious that he does not have control over the tournaments he attends. JMHO.

Rich R.~~~waiting to see Reyes play.

This kind of thing is nothing new in the Phillippines. If it were really about patriotism, Reyes and Bustamante would have allowed themselves "coaches" so they could play. We all know where the coaches probably come from. This is about the money. I'm curious as to why they're finally taking a stand after all these years. Maybe the money's getting bigger?
