Is Chris Cass the same person that used to be called Chris Airdo? I am sorry if I spelled your name wrong? If it is, I have played you in some of the bigger midwest tournaments before.

Same guy, can't play a lick though. From what I here he mostly grows corn now.

I played Chris in a tournament, I think it was two years ago(this tournament is why I remember him) at some casino in Iowa. It was a race to 5 in 8 ball and I played him, I think it was my third match. The table was breaking horribly so neither of us were running out, but Chris played absolutely perfect, I don't think he made one mistake. I thought I was playing some pro level player, after he crushed me, I went up to Jesse B. and asked who the hell it was that just rolled over me, and he told me that he was one of the better players coming out of the Quad Cities. Since then, I have hoped that I would be lucky and miss him in the draw.

Hi Derrell,

Yes it is. My name is Chris Aiardo Jr. I go by Chris Cass because "Cass" is easier to pronounce and it's easy to mess up my last name. It's also my nickname. I was in a road bar one evening and you had to write your name on a chaulkboard, to play in order. On the one and only money table.

I wrote my initials and kinda quickly as the waitress was coming over to my table. Well, when my turn came up they were calling Cass. I looked up and it was me. They'd thought my initials were my name. LOL They called me Cass all night. I liked it so, I kept it. LOL

Thanks for the compliment Derrell and I hope to meet you again sometime under better circumstances. I'll be going to Whitey's Oct.12th, maybe I'll meet and remember you. I don't recognize the name but I'll buy you a drink if your there.

I am sure you would recognize me, we played blackjack together in Red Wing, with the Bowman brothers and Craig Rice, unfortunately I will not be at Whitey's on the 12th this year, I moved to NYC in June, I think I will be back in the area around January, and I am planning on visiting any major tournaments during that period. If you make it out to the East coast anytime I will buy you a drink....a long ways to go for a beer, but who knows.

My brother told me that there was a tournament at Leisure Time in Cedar Rapids this last weekend, did you go? How did you do? I imagine the whole Quad Cities crew was there.

Hi Darrell,

How are you liking New York? I was surprised to hear that you'd gone! I think your team might miss you, as they only won one round last week. /ccboard/images/icons/smile.gif Did you catch any of the women's pro tourny at Amsterdam?

I was at the CR tourny last weekend. When I left, I think Jamie Wilson was waiting on the winner's side, and Jesse B. was playing Tom (?) McCluskey, who I understand is from Madison, WI for the one loss bracket. Chris knows more about Tom M., as he had to play him first round - I'd never heard of him before. The rest of the field was basically the usual suspects...

I placed third behind Pam Bell and Debbie Martin who were playing for 1st and 2nd when I left. I can't seem to muster up the killer instinct anymore. *sigh*

Hope everything's cool in NY!
