I know, I am probably the only person on the board stunned. I cannot believe the Tigers got swept. Congrats to the Giants. They definitely came to the WS ready to win.

I was shocked they beat the Reds ... I was shocked they beat the Cardinals ... I was surprised they beat the Tigers ... this is a classic example of a team peaking at the right time.

Since the Giants swept the Tigers, and they swept out the Yankees, apparently the Giants would have ended a series with NY in 2 games, or perhaps only 1.

Not sure that's possible, but still a compelling case.
