Not sure if this is what you meant to display, but I now see a dog sitting in snow, and a man behind him (you?). Where the avatar would be, except larger than the old avatars.

What I just found out by going to settings is that the default is to display no avatars, no signatures, and no display of pics inline. It may be that you have the same defaults preventing your seeing what you put up??
