Apparently the gdp change percentages are given in terms of nominal or 'current' dollars (not adjusting for inflation).

Which accounts for the embarrassing fact that the 1st Reagan year in office, when he supposedly had inherited a far worse economic situation than Obama did, the gdp change mentioned for that year was a titanic 12+%??!?!?!!! Even if that was the fiscal year 1981 (i.e., beginning under Carter as of Oct 1, 1980), that is impossible, and not what history records the gdp change to be then. Why not? Because there was a very large inflation those years, which must be subtracted out to calculate the 'real' gdp growth.

Unless you know what you're looking at in this table, it's extremely misleading.
