Let's see -- we've got a suspect who not only uses guns but explosives (even reputedly strapping explosives on him), and we have a populace who are extremely nervous and viewing just about any white male they don't know with suspicion.

Now let's throw a lot of AR-15s into the mix.

What could possibly go wrong?

Arkansas State Rep. Nate Bell (R) tweeted that “liberal” Boston residents likely wished for assault rifles and high-capacity magazines, as the manhunt for Boston Marathon bombing suspects continued.

Bell, a second-term legislator and National Rifle Association life member, has (http://web.archive.org/web/20110114221842/http://natebell4arkansas.com/about.html)previously supported (https://m.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=10151324774449262&_rdr) allowing guns in churches as “removing a state mandated restriction on religious freedom.”

His tweet said: "I wonder how many Boston liberals spent the night cowering in their homes wishing they had an AR-15 with a hi-capacity magazine?"

Bell has also backed legislation (http://votesmart.org/candidate/key-votes/119111/nate-bell/37/guns#.UXFc3LXvvzg) to make concealed carry licenses cheaper and to prevent the governor from regulating firearms even in state emergencies. In 2010 told (http://www.arkansascarry.com/politics/legislator-questionnaires/30-legislature-house/272-nate-bell-r.html) Arkansas Carry, a state gun rights group, that he supports Stand Your Ground laws and tax exemptions for sales of gun and ammo manufactured in state.

A story in 3 parts:

Part 1: An Arkansas State Rep. running for reelection decides to mock Bostonians under siege.

Part 2: He issues a non-apology apology.

Part 3: His constituents get pissed off and rip him a new one.
