View Full Version : 9 Ball League Question

I've been running a BCA 8-Ball League for several years but this year everyone wanted a change. What I would like to do is a 9-Ball singles league. Everyone will eventually play everyone but I'm stumped in the scoring system. We do not want to handicap any matches until the tournamet at the end of the league. Each person will play each person 5 games gathering points for each ball & win. At the end of the League we will figure out the handicap by points scored.

My question is: What is the most fair way in calculating the points? If it's 1 point per ball the looser could actually come out with more points than the winner. But if you run 8 balls and dog the 9 they should still get something for their effort.

I've looked on the net for a scoring system but most sites refer to team play. If anyone knows of any good sites to check out or if there is an offical point scoring please let me know. We would like to keep everything BCA if possible.

Many thanks,
