Has anybody tried a one of those retractable cue extensions. Fitted in butt end of playing cue (by a cue professional). I've tried a few but found them back heavy. This might have been the what the balance was like before installation!?!

Hi Nick,
I tried one the other day made by Stealth. It's an extension, break/jump cue. It was a little back heavy but the price was right. Hundred something isn't bad for the cue.

I have a cue made by Ted Kidwell of Reno, NV with an extension created by Greg Hearn of Calgary. It's balance is no different than what you'd expect it to be.
An example of the Hearn extension ::

Mike Webb of Webb Custom Cues in Providence, RI also builds cues with this same extension. They are great and I find that the balance is great. He might make adjustments to ensure the weight is balance properly.
