View Full Version : Head up or Head down & its effects.

Ok....now that I have all your dirty minds working....This is actually a legit question...

Some people play with thier head down...(chin scraping the cue) some people have there head up...(chin 5-10 inches above the cue...

Aside from back pain issues....why would you bend all the way down vs just bend down a little???? What are the effects??? It seems to mee that it has some effect on your stroke arm (angle, power, etc)

I can play both ways.....(not in THAT way....keep your mind out of the gutter).....but I am looking for reasons why you would choose one over the other...

I usually keep my head down (chin scraping cue). The only time I keep my head and stance higher is when I have those shots where the cue ball is close to the object ball. If I get down on these shots, then the spot where I'm suppose to hit the CB looks wrong and I lose sight of the path that the object ball has to travel.
