Reposting this because I don't know if anyone got the chance to see it b4.. Show us a game that you've won from a seemingly impossible position..

Here is mine.. I was playing on a bar box with some sorta loose rails, which is why I was able to do this shot..

I was in a horrible trap.. My opponent had two balls hung up in the corner pockets, I was on the eight, with no makeable shot.. Had won about 20 games in a row on this table, and didn't want to sit down.. Wondering how the hell I was gonna get out of this mess. Was playin bar 8 ball, so if I scratch, I lose.. No intentional foul for that reason.. Then I saw it.. A vision of beauty.. I noticed in these sorts of situations, if I bank the 8 ball into the corner with natural english, I always come close to scratching in the same corner..

So I played it that way, calling "Bank the 8 ball into your ball (8 ball didn't have to go clean in this bar), and the cue ball is gonna come two rails to knock in the 8.." Had to explain the shot twice, but since I was shootin so far up in the air here, my opponent says, (snickering to his buddies) "Sure knock yerself out, chalking his cue for his shot.. Then I played this..

Didn't make the exquisite time shot, because the table wasn't level.. The cue ball rolled about two inches out of line, but left him this position... There was no way for him to hit his ball.. And I won this game from a position that only Eddie Taylor could bank out of... Heh heh

Well, might not look like much.. But play the time shot a few times.. A good shot for a trick shot routine..

Just last nite actually after making the kick the cue ball came off the rail just enough to get around the (8) for me to play the (7) in the corner it was sitting at and I ran out from there... and we just made Round 2 of the Playoffs last nite too /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was playing a much lower skill level player that had previously annihilated me. She was a SL2 and the last time we played, she ran as many as 8 balls in a row, and kicked two and three rails to escape my best safeties. Maybe it was a miracle night for her, I don't know, but I wasn't taking any chances. I was determined not to give her a chance to do it again. This time, I brought my best game. I missed my intended position on the seven and was left with no apparent shot. Then I saw a possible cross bank. It was a low percentage shot, but if executed correctly, would give me a chance to get out. I managed to pull it off and finished the rack. I don't remember the exact setup, but you can see the shot at http://www.billiardtown.com/jordanlabbe1.htm it's the last one down, I made it on video, which made it 10 times better. I had no shot, so I kicked the 1-ball in and got perfect shape on the 2-ball. And as if it were not good enough, I ran out! take a lot at the video for proof

Here's one that drew a few oohs and aaahs from the crowd. I was forced into this position after a cluster breakout, and came with this shot. It looked more like a shot from Billiards, because the cueball was spinning madly, while the travel speed was relatively low. It exploded off the cushion and got to the desired position.

One shot I did in a fun league 9-ball tournament was pretty cool. The guy burried the 2 ball in a way that it was all surrounded by a bunch of other balls and a cue ball could not pass between any space. There was absolutly not way possible to get to the 2 ball except the way I came up with. A bunch of other guys were congratulating my opponent on his safety ( I also told him it was an amazing safety ). While they were doing so, I took my jump cue and jumped the cue ball and it landed right on top of the 2 ball and then the cue ball went on to kick the 8 ball in the corner pocket. Still lost the game but it was a great escape shot to try.

Hill game in an 8 ball match, with a very good player that came up empty on his break. I ran down to this final shot. I came up long on my position and had to cut the 9 ball into the corner pocket. I had made this shot before, and was pretty confident I could make the shot, but the speed for the 4 rail shapes meant that I had to adjust the aim for squirt. That's the part that concerned me the most.

I made this one hill-hill to get into the finals of a huge tourney that I had no chance of winning... I ended up playing a former Canada snooker champ and beat him bad. It was a good night (well maybe morning( the tourney did not end until 4:30 am) but anyway)
