View Full Version : advice for upcoming purchase
unfortunatly i only have about 1500-1750 for a pool table to include S&H and accesories. i live in Jacksonville, NC so my options are limited. as of now i'm looking at an Imperial Cape Town or Stratford Luxor. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Are either of these tables any good? im looking for a cherry colored table with wine colored felt preferably with ball and claw legs. Thanks for all your help!!

You've got to be kidding? What do you expect for $1500-$1750.00. You don't mention size so I assume you have plenty of space. So, the best advice I can give is. Get a hold of a used Brunswick Gold Crown. You can cloth it with the color of your choice when they set it up. They don't move it in one piece.
The other idea would be to trade a Herrier. HAHAHAHAHA
JUST JOKING ON THE HERRIER, I DON'T WANT TO GET DRAFTED. Did my time Honorably.

That hardware would make for some very cool purchases Tom, but for people with not so much money I would suggest looking into the underfunded Canadian Forces for all your military purchases. Some examples include;

Please excuse this sidetrack which is of no assistance to our Marine friend who ask the opening question in this thread. The only thing I can suggest to you is that you procure an old pool table from some Army base rec center that is upgrading to newer tables. Most of the stuff the Marines get to work with is whatever the Army gives them after there done with it, anyway. Fortunately, any Marine can make due with whatever he has to accomplish his mission./ccboard/images/icons/wink.gif
