Does anyone have a good format for running a 1 day one pocket event with 32-64 players. I'm all ears. Thanks in advance. Joe

Hi joe,,, mike here.. here in albany we have started a monthly one day 1 pocket tournament,,, Race to 3..double elimination... start at noon... $60 entry fee..$10 goes to the house for table time,, the 1st one we had 10 players if i remember correctkly.. went over great.. we have another one this Sat....hope it helps you.................mike

Joe... I have run a 1-Pocket tournament in one day with about 24 players, double elimination, race to 2, finals was a single race to 3. We started about 1:00 PM on 8 tables and it finished about 10:00 PM. It could have been a bit quicker with 12 tables for the 24 players. I had to put a time limit on a couple matches when they approached the 90 minute mark.

With a field of 32, it would be good to have 16 tables available to you to start. With a field of 64....., well, you get my drift.

Anothter option that the players would definitely NOT like would be single elimination.
