View Full Version : Practice drill for rail first shots

01-13-2003, 08:50 PM
I just made up this drill which comes up very often and is one of my favorite shots. It came up last night in my first tournament. I had a long diagonal straight in shot on the 7, with the 8 on the opposite end rail, the 7 was close to the pocket. It's practically impossible to draw the table length when youre a table length away from the OB. So I hit the rail first with Top Right so I could get some angle on the ball to get around to the 8. I missed what is usually a routine shot for me and this is why I made this drill, hope this helps!
