An Israeli doctor says "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we
can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him
looking for work in six weeks."

A German doctor says "That is nothing, we can take a lung out of one
person, put it in another, and have him looking for work in four weeks."

A Russian doctor says "In my country, medicine is so advanced that we
can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have
them both looking for work in two weeks."

The Texas doctor, not to be outdone, says "You guys are way behind, we
recently took a man with no brain out of Texas, put him in the White
House and in just two years half the country is looking for work."

A scraggly young man walked into the local welfare office, marched straight up to the counter and said, "Hi, I hate drawing welfare. I would really rather find a job."

The man behind the counter replied, "Your timing is amazing. We just got a listing from a wealthy man who wants a chauffeur for his nymphomaniac daughter. You'll have to drive around a big black Mercedes, and the suits, shirts, and ties are provided. Because of the long hours of this job, meals will also be provided. You will also be required to escort the young lady on her overseas holidays trips.

The salary is $200,000 a year."

The young man said, "You're bullshitting me, man!"

The man behind the counter said, "Yeah, well, you started it."

Just to semi clear the air, it appears the Republicans counted just fine it was the Dems that needed to keep recounting. I can prove if you would like. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Dem: Left wing of American Socialist Party

Rep: Right wing of American Socialist Party

Only about a dime's worth of difference between the two. One spends a little less, the other a little more, but neither can understand that it's not their money. Vote your conscience, it will take a big broom to clean this house.

I find it to be only a matter of degree, that's why I just refer to them as the left and right wings of the same party. You can't deny that both are quite active in redistribution of wealth, and neither has any serious plank in the party platform to systematically reduce the size of government. It's all token, rhetoric, and political posturing. Sure, as a conservative I find the Republicans (usually) a lesser evil than the Dems. I'd rather lose a finger than a hand. But I never conceded that anyone should get the finger (well, maybe they should if you get my drift) and I don't think "lesser of evils" should be enough to get my vote.

The formula is too straightforward; steal from one man and give to two, you've made two friends and one enemy, a net gain for your re-election. You might even avoid making the enemy if you convince him you'll pass a "theft reduction" and will steal less than the "other" party would have.

LOL. I guess it seems when I post I come across as being upset or uptight but that generally is not the case. My father is a die hard democrat so I have had these debates for a long time. He chooses to believe what he hears and does not seek the facts. I am quite opposite. When I post here, I am in a good mood and generally do not try to attack or flame, but I will state my position. If I don't like what I see I reply. One thing for sure, I believe that this board means nothing in the whole scheme of life and I am not trying to force myself on others. If you post something here, I feel you should have some sort of factual base. If I call the bluff then be an adult and stand up. If you post what you think, then don't point fingers when you are proved wrong through fact.

I did like your joke. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif I remember a while back when Naz posted some political humor that I did not agree with. I stated my point and that was it. No attack on Naz but maybe on the artist (he posted some comical satire). We PMed back and forth and I told him nothing is personal on this board. When it is all over, most everyone here can whip my butt on the pool table and that is all that I really care about. /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif

eg8r < I enjoy myself on the board and hope everyone does the same.
