In Chicago you have one of the greatest pool communities on earth, some of the greatest players and teachers are all around you, so you are very fortunate. You want to learn some history, go by & see Jim Parker of the Illinois billiard club in Willows springs, 708-839-1331. You want to learn some 3 cushion, ask around how to find Deno Andrews, Bert Kinister is good on drills on 9 ball, go see Mark Haddad at Quentin Corner Pockets, he is an excellent player, and there is a ton of knowledge by a number of billiard experts in that place. My two Grand Masters who were teaching me, you may have missed, Ray Schuler of Palatine just passed away, and Don Feeney has recently moved out of chicago to Florida, but comes back now & then, 630-561-8880, If you are looking for a great custom cue, go see Schuler in Palatine, 847-776-7769
Best Wishes, Fast Larry Guninger
