This will be the last post about his condition until I hear the words "he's coming home today".

He will be transferred to rehab probably tomorrow, 4/15. The trach will come out in a week. He will come home in 2 weeks. They found a blood clot in each leg behind his calves, but nothing they can't fix. He's doing great and can't wait to get home!

Thanks to everyone for all of their support and thoughts. There would not have been any way for me to get through this situation without the help of friends like you. I am forever grateful.

It does have a companion though, so he doesn't get lonely, thanks to Mike M. Our house is full of balloons, flowers, plants, cards, books, teddy bears. I could open up a gift shop! LOL.

Well, OK. Just make sure you keep a 12 inch ruler between the two! I know how frisky my bear can get! /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I, for one, will miss your daily updates and I can't wait until I read your message that, Chris is "coming home today."
The message after that will be, "Chris is returning to the pool hall." /ccboard/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Heide, this the greatest news yet for all of us to hear. I want to say that I really admire you as a person because of the fact that it takes someone with a lot of emotional strength to endure what you have been through. Chris is equally tough to battle through his affliction and I cant wait to speak with him on IM when he is well enough. I am sure that Christ is probably the most anxious to get him home. I just wanted to let you know that my prayers and thoughts still continue for your family.
