Has anyone here played with a RAT cue? I'd appreciate any info about their quality.

I've played with some pretty RATTY cues in my day.

I would imagine that they're pretty good cues. The guy that
makes them, Ryan (his initals are RAT), just wrapped an AE cue that I have with black leather and did a remarkably good job. He is also re-finishing one of my Dennis Dieckman cues and I expect the results to be equally good.

The people that know him around here, and they're made locally, seem to think highly of his cues. He works in the same shop as Troy Downey of Downey Custom Cues, who I've known for about 15 years, and think quite highly of. I'm having Troy make a cue for me and I'd expect that Ryan does pretty good work, too.

I'm sorry that I can't provide more specifics, but the RAT cues that I've seen look good and, given their pedigree, probably hit well, too. I'll try one out sometime and see what I think.
