Getting a pix posted

I'd like to add a pix sometimes..and I've read the posts on newbies, and still can't figure it out (they wrote all those "Dummy" books for me)
"upload to a website"(do i need my own home page?)
image..http// image???? I knew I should have studied harder for that G.E.D. test...I've just about got my TV remote almost figured out, except for the flashing 12:00am thing, but can't decipher those instructions
can you explain the process, like you would to a 10 yr old...wait, they'll probably know how to do it...make that a 7 yr old...and thanks if you can help, jack d ( the original internet Dummy

Now junior just pay attention, no over here. LOL If the pic is on your puter you need a web page or know somene that does. Upload the pic to that page. If the pic is already at a web site then you can link it to here. It's done two different ways. So is the pic on your puter first of all?

Rod, nothing on my computer would be leagl to post...it's on a website...the next step??? ( and thanks for your effort )jjd

When you want to add a pic go to the site with the pic. Right click the pic and select properties. Left click and highlight the url shown, then copy the addy. Switch windows to here and click image below your post. A window pops up then you right click and paste the url in the pop up window.

Here is what it looks like without the url http://

When you paste in the complete addy you get a picture like this, http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/devil/sagrin.gif

You can also get a picture on a web page by adding the complete page by clicking the URL below. Smiles (http://www.handykult.de/plaudersmilies.de/) This is a hot link to the whole page. Any questions? You can do this and it will show up in the post preview so you know it's working.

Jack you need to click the image tab below the text box. http://www.stoneclave.com/images/schdr%20110102.jpg

Right click and paste the url in the pop up box, then click ok. Like above. Don't paste it directly to this text box, it will do just what it did in your post. Try again.
