tough situation

Just read a story on MSN.com, where a guy had to cut off his arm to save his life, after being pinned, for six days, by a boulder in the desert....that's gotta hurt; can't imagine the courage that took..the closest I came to that situation was getting stuck myself; escape looked impossible, until a neighbor threw a bucket of cold water on us...wait...my memory's a little hazy..now I remember..it wasn't me..it was my dog and the neighbors...amputation would have been my last option..if it was me.
Seriously though, this guy did what few would be able to do, unreal!!

I heard this story and thought that this guy has a set of balls that hang on the ground. I don't know if I could have done that. But who knows until we're put in that kind of situation.
