I'm interested in playing some leaugue play. I don't go to a pool hall. I just got a table. My buddy has a table so don't really see the need to hit pool halls yet, but I would like to play a little league or something to help me learn from better players. I don't want to fool around with one pocket yet. I liked straight pool when I was young ( 35 years ago), but would be interested in playing 8 or 9 or straight.

Anyone in my area (tinley park, Illinois) know where I can go to get into some games?

The best way to find out if there are any leagues in your area, is to go to the local pool halls and ask. You can also visit the BCA website and the APA website for more information.

www.bca-pool.com (http://www.bca-pool.com)

Heide ~ sorry, don't know the APA's website address

HI Dennis,
It me Erik. Hows that Viking that I sold you coming along? Anyways I know of an 8ball league starting on June 8 and it lasts for 12 weeks. The cost is about $10 per week but I dont know if its BCA sanctioned. Its at the Green Room in Downer's Grove. They also have a 9ball tourney every wednesday night for $10 bucks with pretty good turn out. You might want to call them for more info. Hope that helps.

Erik- How's it going. The viking is doing just fine. I got a predator shaft for it and have been practicing, and reading books and looking at videos and playing a little eight and nine in my basement. I'm going to canada fishing next week, so I don't think the June 8 leaugue would work. Maybe after I get back, I'll look into something. I'm getting a lesson from Scott Lee downtown at city billiards in chicago on June 16. Talk to you later. Dennis
