Easy come, easy go.

A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but one advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure into perspective in one of its releases: A billion seconds ago it was 1959. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.
A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate Washington spends it.

Now that hits the nail on the head. It's a lot more than I thought, till the government got into it. /ccboard/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Like some Senator who was opposed to so much spending said, "A billion dollars here and a billion dollars there; it doesn't seem like much, but after a while it adds up."

Tom - That was the late Sen. Everett Dirksen. Think the actual quote was, "A billion here, a billion there, and pretty soon you're talking about REAL money."

The sad part is I really think they all think that way /ccboard/images/graemlins/frown.gif It's just to easy to think that way when your spending other peoples money. Which is what they're doing /ccboard/images/graemlins/frown.gif
