View Full Version : How do I tighten Valley rails?

The head rail on our newly acquired 7' Valley coin-op is terribly loose. The whole rail, not just the cushion. How do I tighten it?
I assume I have to remove the wood panels underneath the table. At that point are the nuts/bolts easily accessible?

Remove the aluminum strip on the side. There are three bolts to tighten behind that strip. Don't over do it and break a bolt. If that one is loose maybe you should take the strip off all the way around and do all.

I assume that's all I have to remove when we decide to refelt this table also.

Yes, once you remove the rails the slate lifts straight up and out. Be careful taking it out and putting it back. That one peice 3/4" slate is heavy. If you get a finger between it and the table it will ruin your day!
