View Full Version : Use of Chalk in PoolRooms

I really like using the gray Master Chalk. It makes cleaning my cue shaft and my hands much easier. Is it a bad idea though to use it at most poolrooms which have green cloth on the tables? I did yesterday, and did not notice any ill effects. I do see a lot of white hand powder marks on tables, and I was thinking maybe the light colored chalk would be a pain for the folks who clean the tables. Thanks for the input-

If the owner doesn't say anything I wouldn't worry about it. You're right, that powder can make 10 times the mess that chalk can.

I hate white hand chalk on the cloth! Any pool hall that tolerates it shouldn't care about a little gray chalk.
Actually I think most of the excess chalk should be tapped off the tip because it can leave too many marks on the cb as well as the cloth. Better yet is don't grind too much chalk on the tip to start with.
