Anyone catch it last night? That amateur from Finland, man, what a monster player. He caught great hands, and a few beats, but that was the best playing (albeit often unorthodox at best) I've seen on TV yet.

Fred <~~~ but, then again, I don't know squat about poker

Is that the kid with the dark glasses and doesn't make a face at all? The one who came through the amateur a wile back to win one of them? That guy was awesome. Stone cold.

Didn't see that episode so can't comment on specifics. Just remember what you see on TV no-limit holdem is often "unorthodox" for a variety of reasons. Tournament poker often differs from normal poker. And a lot depends on stack sizes and who is left in a hand, etc... Also, no-limit tournaments require very little skill IN SOME RESPECTS. And the short term luck factor is very high. Many of the players who win these types of events aren't great players. Some are very good or great, but some lose consistently in live games against tough competition.
