The 'Rules'of netiquette.



Rule 1: Remember the Human
Rule 2: Adhere to the same standards of behavior online that you follow in real life
Rule 3: Know where you are in cyberspace
Rule 4: Respect other people's time and bandwidth
Rule 5: Make yourself look good online
Rule 6: Share expert knowledge
Rule 7: Help keep flame wars under control
Rule 8: Respect other people's privacy
Rule 9: Don't abuse your power
Rule 10: Be forgiving of other people's mistakes


Seems reasonable ? Lets hear your thoughts on this please.


I personally take exception to this rule though.

Rule 5: Make yourself look good online !!!!!!

Why ? Should I pretend to be somebody I'm not ?

I notice it doesnt say that you should be honest or truthful.


Appropriate subjects for discussion .

What are they ? I was recently advised that Politics and Religion were 'Taboo'subjects .

I myself am willing to talk about anything .


What do you think ?

GW says that he is against gays getting married to each other. Is this a political subject or a religios one . Are we not allowed to talk about it ?
