View Full Version : Size of pool balls

I was given a pool table made by a company named Fischer in MO. The company closed about 20 years ago. The table did not come with balls. Is their different size balls? What size do I need? It is a coin operated 6' table. Thanks

All pool balls are the same size...2 1/4"...snooker balls are 2 1/8"; carom billiard (3-cushion) balls are 2 3/8"; and Russian billiards balls are 2 5/8" (they are HUGE! LOL). Pool balls come in sets, and cheap ones are about $50...quality ones are $100-150. Regardless of what you buy...if it is a coin-op table (which means the balls don't come back out by themselves), you'll likely need a 'bar-table' cueball. These are plugged with a metal weight, and work by magnets. If, on your table, the balls just come back through...then by all means invest in the better balls, and use the CB that comes with them.
