Another entertainment legend has passed on. Gordon Jump, who played Arthur "Big Guy" Carlson on WKRP in Cincinnati has died at 71.
But he will live forever with the immortal line...

And he had the hottest secretary in Cinci.
Loved that show. One of my favorite episodes had a State Trooper doing "the effects of Alcohol on your reaction time", on air, with Venus and Johnny Fever as the guinea pigs. You had to drink a shot every few minutes and when the Cop said go, you had to ring the buzzer to check how many seconds it took. The funny part was that after 0 drinks, Johhny had the reaction time of someone who had 8 drinks but after 10 shots or so, he was getting faster and faster to the point that the Trooper couldn't believe it. At one point, the Cop tries to say "Go" real fast to catch Johnny off guard, to no avail. Too funny.

Gordon also played Allan Thick's father in Growing Pains.
He was also the second Maytag man.
He was a good character actor.
