unfortunately I don't get either of these networks but let me get this straight, just 4 days after the 2003 US Open finals they are going to show the 2002 finals /ccboard/images/graemlins/smile.gif
In my best attempt at a WesK post:

Kato~~~not WesK, though I did stay at a Holiday Inn during the Open.

They'll likely get a larger viewing audience if they intentionally neglect to mention the fact that it's the 2002 Open they're showing, and not the just completed 2003 Open.
Sadly, only in pool could you get away with doing this - as 99.99% of the viewers wouldn't know that they were watching a tournament that was completed over a year ago, just as they don't know the ESPN televised taped matches are not live, and were played months ago. - Chris in NC

Did you know that 66.37% of statistics are actually made up on the spot to stress a point? /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That's not a very good attempt at a WesK post!

This is!
On the Monday after the final I was expecting to find at least the result in the papers or cnn. I could not find it mentioned in any newspaper[ online]or any news service.
It was like the Open never took place.

The event is for real starting October 12th on Dish Network

Yes, and don't expect it to happen in your life time either. Lets face it pool doesn't make any headlines. I wonder if it got any recognition in VA? Chances are even if it was going to, it was upstaged by Isabel. Maybe there is small section in back of honorable mention. Only for the fact it was held despite the conditions.

Love to watch it. Unfortunately I am in the Netherlands.
Q
It was in the Chesapeake newspaper. Page 3 of the Sports Section. Sadly, that's probably the only newpaper in the universe that carried it.

Did they get your name spelled right? /ccboard/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
