A Walnut Creek pool hall had to be evacuated last night after an anonymous caller warned a bomb had been planted outside.
Officers arriving at Masses Billiards and Sports Bar spotted what looked like a pipe bomb near a gas line outside the building. The pool hall was emptied and the street was blocked off.
When the bomb squad arrived -- they determined the object was not a bomb. A search turned up no explosive devices inside or outside.
An investigation into the incident continues today.
