I noticed that Shannon Daulton has not been playing in any recent tournaments (since the Derby City Classic I think). He's missed the recent World Championship in July as well as the US Open. Any news on why?

I was wondering the same thing.

The last I heard (in Billiards Digest I think) he was reported as saying he may sit out a couple of tournments to get some rest. Something to that effect.

Someone told me at the open that he is playing on the road. I hope he is making money. he had started his own tour last year for a short time but have not heard anything since..mike

He won the Music City Open event in Nashville at JOB's Billiards against Gabe Owen the week after Derby and then told me that he was going to take some time off and miss the Trump event (so you probably read that in InsidePOOL), but I thought we'd have seen him by now.
