Once upon a time there was a country made out of honey
With a vermilion colored crest
Where I was the Queen and He was the king
In a kingdom riddled with love stories

My magical castle in the sky
Shining like crystal under the sun

And then came later that cruel storm
And the castle fell from the sky
The lightning illuminated at my feet
The abyss of his heart

Then I could see him for what he really was
And what I discovered, destroyed me

My King was a monster made out of stone
With a heart was made out of stone
He paid for my love with stones
And he tore down my illusion with stones

And I was one of those rare faithfuls
Who believed this story to be true
And I paid dearly with my naivety
That now I won't dare and dream again

I don't want anymore castles in the sky
Or Kings that hurt me without mercy

My King was a monster made out of stone
With a heart made out of stone
His love was always a lie
Castles that today are ruins

Wendy~~~gave him the boot this morning and I've been hitting the bottle since noon

I'm sorry this story had a bad ending. Really, not all guys are monsters with hearts of stone. One of these days you'll find the right person, when you least expect it.

Er, um, I just read what I wrote and I can only get "poetic/lyrical" when I'm hitting the bottle and/or in deep thought. /ccboard/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Ah we live and learn. Getting older sucks in many ways but fortunately wisdom comes with the territory. Of course in my case "wisdom" must be considered a relative term /ccboard/images/graemlins/wink.gif
