There is no ability to add an Avatar as far as I can see.
Could you rectify that?
Do you not have an "edit avatar" available after clicking on "settings" at the top right of your screen?

How are you adding the photo? bbcode or are you uploading it? Is it an animated gif or a standard gif?

I was using a regular gif via link from photobucket. I tried every link option provided by the site.
Plain text is working.
I was able to link a gif in my signature with no problem. Can you try it again.
