Pool Table Appraisal
Iím a Newbie. I could use some advice on how to have a pool table appraised. Can one simply send pictures to a reputable appraiser? If so, who? The table is a Hustler by Rozel. I have no idea if there are many of these tables in circulation. The person who gave me the table a few years ago said that he purchased it new directly from Minnesota Fats himself when he was peddling pool tables in the St. Louis area in the early 1960s. [Is it common knowledge that Fats peddled tables?] The table has a slatine top, 7 feet x 4 feet. It is still in good shape.
I would appreciate any information you may have or any recommendations for appraisals via Websites, addresses, etc.
Any decent local table mechanic or dealer could tell you what it's worth. But I will save you a lot of trouble, it's a low end table with a non-slate bed and is not worth very much ($200 in primo condition).
