    using beeswax on slate

    Can anyone tell me how to use beeswax on slate? Do you melt it, can u sand it smooth, etc. Thanks

    I replied to this a week ago, but I don't know where my post went. I'll sum it up again:

    Melt wax on seams with handheld gas torch. Drip wax to the point where the rails will bolt to the slate, not all the way to the edge. Scrape excess wax away with flat razor scraping tool. That's it.

    Sanding might affect the slate...I wouldn't advise it.
