Hundreds Die in Bangladesh Factory Collapse As Retailers Reject Better Safety Standards

Western retailers refuse to fund independent safety inspections after 300 die in Bangladesh factory collapse and 5 months after 112 die in factory fire - April 29, 13

Kalpona Akter of Bangladesh Center for Worker Solidarity explains why the factory collapse was no accident. After the factory fire 5 months ago which claimed the lives of more than 100 workers, the government did not prosecute the owners or improve safety standards. Instead, they threw Kalpona in prison and executed her colleague.

Screw those workers! What the hell do they want for their $28 a month? They should be grateful!

Yea, good old libertarianism in action.

Viva la deregulation! Viva la estupidez!
