How to care for your new pool cue

All cues require care and maintenance. Now that you've purchased your very own pool cue, you must want to taking care of it. You will need a case too in oder to carry your newly bought cue.
What all things you do to taking care of your cue, case, tip, shaft etc.

I use a Willard tip shaper in shape of US dime. They make Willard for US nickel radius also but I prefer the dime. I also carry a tip pick to keep the tip porous for chalk. I also carry a microfiber towel to wipe down the ferrule and shaft and butt at the end of each turn and to wipe chalk off the tip when I put the cue and shafts away. I also use joint protectors on shafts and butt. Periodically I use Q WIZ fine papers to keep shafts very smooth and the apply a thin coat of carnauba wax followed by vigorous polishing with another microfiber towel.
