Quantifying consensus on anthropogenic global warming in the scientific literature

Of course 98% of the scientists are wrong 'cause "Joe Sh*t The Ragman" and his Teabilly moron friends are smarter than those dumb 'liberal' scientists and besides it's just an evil conspiracy to rob us of our freedumb! How do the morons know this? Because of the cold weather in their regions. Never mind that local weather and global climate are two completely different things.

We analyze the evolution of the scientific consensus on anthropogenic global warming (AGW) in the peer-reviewed scientific literature, examining 11 944 climate abstracts from 1991–2011 matching the topics 'global climate change' or 'global warming'. We find that 66.4% of abstracts expressed no position on AGW, 32.6% endorsed AGW, 0.7% rejected AGW and 0.3% were uncertain about the cause of global warming. Among abstracts expressing a position on AGW, 97.1% endorsed the consensus position that humans are causing global warming.

The main worry iz (or should be) that MMGW might be true.
The fix for MMGW iz good and eezy.
    1. Reduce population.
    2. Inkreec renewable energy.

A major enemy of the fix iz democracy -- mainly theusofa style demokracy.

Please Mac, get real. Democracy isn't perfect, but it's the best form of Government there is.

The only thing that prevents dealing with climate change, or better yet, dealing with GLOBAL WARMING, it the Repiglican Party, and their pig donators from the filthy oil and coal industries.

I don't see your country doing anything about the threat we face, rather, the threat that the whole world faces!

Do you have a better form of government in mind? Let's hear some reasonable ideas about dealing with the obvious disastrous consequences of Global Warming, without all of the unfair shots at Democracy, the best form of government known to man.

Ozz, the UK, Canada -- all now run by our verzions of the GOP. Krappynomix now rules here. Renewable energy will soon be going nowhere here.
At least theusofa haz gridlock -- much better.

I reckon Monarchy might be better (greener) than democracy (ie the sorts of faux-democracys we see nowadays).
A (good) dictatorship might do some good green work too.

    Hey Mac,
The UK is having the same problems as we are having. Fracking devastation, chemicals in their water, even earthquakes near Fracking sites. They have been experiencing unprecedented floods annd raging storms, and they are still in a country full of degraded Nuclear Power Plants, and crooks like BP.

Dictatorships? China is so polluted people can't see across the streets! The most polluted country of any.

Your country is suffering from raging fires, impacts from Global Warming, as well.

So don't give me that BS about blaming our Democracy for everything.

Greed has no particular government form. Have you looked at the numbers on poverty in the UK lately? China? Russia?
